Non-Prescription (OTC) / Rheostop

Rheostop R with Loperamide Hydrochloride is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute non-hemorrhagic diarrhea, as it helps to reduce the frequency of bowel movements.

If there is blood in the stool or symptoms persist beyond 48 hours seek medical advice.

Dosage

Adults and children above 12 years old

Initially 4 mg (2 tablets) and then 2 mg (1 tablet) after each diarrheal bowel movement. If your bowel movements are formed or you have not had another bowel movement in the last 24 hours, you should not take another dose.

Maximum daily dose 8mg (4 tabs in 24 hours)

Administration method
Place the orodispersable tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve before swallowing, with or without water (depending on your preference).

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
